The Kramer name is well-known in Traverse City
(at least, we like to think so).
You may have heard of "Kramer's" berry farm out on Old Mission Peninsula (originally christened as "Cherry Chick Farm" in 1952, when the property was first bought), which grew cherries, and also offered pick-your-own strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries through the '90s. It sprawled across the land where Grey Road and Center Road meet.
Our delicious Kramer Farm smoothie is -- you guessed it -- named in honor of that farm. For many years, the farm also produced local eggs and commercial pullets.
Or maybe you (or your children, or your parents) have been taught by a Kramer or two. Two generations of Kramers have been teaching in the Traverse City area for over 30 years, at both West- and East-affiliated schools, from wee kindergartners to oh-so-tough highschoolers.
